GERMINATING; WET AND DRY We have two plant pots and eight bean seeds. We will plant four bean seeds in one pot with wet soil, and the others will be planted in dry soil. We'll put the pots in the same place, and keep the wet one wet. We won't let any water getinto the dry pot. In which pot will the seeds germinate and grow? We will, at the same time, put some folded paper towels into the bottoms of two glass jars, and we'll put some seeds on top of the towels. One jar will be kept dry, by putting dry paper towels into it, on top of the seeds. Into the other jar, we will put wet paper towels, and when the towels get dry, we will put more water. Both jars will be put in the same place. Do you think the seeds will germinate in the jars? Which jar? Why? Aren't you glad you don't have to grow in a jar?  Any problems with this page? Send URL to
