GERMINATING WARM AND COLD Do seeds germinate best in a warm place or a cold place? Let's make two soilless gardens in jars, with wet paper towels, and place one jar into the refrigerator. We'll put the other jar in the cupboard. If the towels on top get dry, we must add some water. The refrigerator and the cupboard are both dark, but one is warm and the other is cold. We could make two more soilless gardens and put one in the cupboard and one in a sunny window. That way, we would find out if warm and sunny is better than warm and dark. Which way is best?
